Animal Rescue Stories: You Found Us!

Hi, I'm Sophie! I'm the author of Roman to the Rescue, and I wanted to share a bit more about myself and my journey into animal rescue. I found Roman in Ghana during a time when I felt very lost in life. When I first found him, I was filled with fear; the world felt overwhelming, and so did the people in it. Discovering Roman not only helped me find myself but also introduced me to a different way of living and a love I never knew I had. In fact, loving Roman is my favorite thing I've ever done. My passion for animals has grown immensely, particularly in the realm of pet adoption, as I currently have 9 rescue animals with me now! I cherish everything about Roman, especially his ornery personality, which made me feel better about my own quirks. When I wrote this book, I thought about other little Sophies out there, who might be bumbling through life without a companion like Roman. I hope they can borrow my experience and perhaps find a little less suffering for themselves and those around them. It could really happen, you know. Anyway, if you ever read this simple book, I hope it brings you something you didn't have before, and I'd love to hear what that something is.

Hi, I'm Roman! You may know me from the book about my journey with Sophie and Roman, but I wanted to share a bit more about myself. I'm originally from Ghana, but I spent most of my life in the United States with my mom. When she found me, I was very afraid. The world felt so big and scary, and so did all the people in it. I was incredibly happy to be with her and never wanted to be apart from her for a second. If you've met me in person, there's a good chance I've nipped you! I'm sorry about that; I was just scared and only ever really trusted my mom. I love chasing squirrels, yodeling at everyone I meet, enjoying hamburgers from Kewpee, and running as fast as I can! Even though I might not be on Earth anymore, I'm with my mom every single day. I never leave her side, even now. I'm so glad she wrote a book about our animal rescue story, and I really hope you like it! Maybe you can let me know your favorite part about pet adoption?
